The Focused Feast Styling & Photography Workshop – The Art of the Cocktail Party – June 7
Join us for this intensive one-day workshop taught by Claire Barrett, professional photographer and creator of The Focused Feast. Participants will have access to accoutrements from Shelby House’s in-house Spirited Goods shop, a carefully curated collection of all things celebrating the cocktail hour and entertaining at home. Unique vintage and contemporary barware are available for styling and shooting throughout the day, as well as finger food arrangements and specialty cocktails for photographing. DSLR, mirrorless, or smart phone is required for the workshop, and laptop computer is optional. Workshop includes lunch and beverages from local Santa Fe faves Mamunia and Artful Tea, and is limited to 12 participants.
HANDS-ON WORKSHOP COVERS:
Basics of Photography: we’ll get you comfortable using your camera in manual mode, discussing ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed
Visual Storytelling: how to choose a shooting space, styling techniques, use of props and surfaces, manipulation of natural light
Post-Production Techniques: using Adobe Lightroom
